Because one day healing you won't be this easy.

Interior. Master bedroom. 7 AM. Mom (33 years old) lays alone in her bed trying to wake up. Mom looks strikingly glamorous for this time of morning.  Brynn (6 years old) enters room, worried look on her face.

BRYNN: Mom, this eye (pointing to right eye) has got a problem.

MOM: (sleepily) Oh yeah? What's its problem?

BRYNN: Well it feels funny and it goed blind.

MOM: Blind, huh? Completely blind?

BRYNN: Um, yes.

MOM: Ok try this. Cover close your eyes. Now cover your left eye with you hand. The non-blind one.

BRYNN complies, covering her left eye.

MOM: (holds up two fingers) Now open your blind eye and look at me. How many fingers am I holding up?

BRYNN: 2.

MOM: You're not blind.

BRYNN: Thanks, Mom. That feels better.

And scene.
