Living Room--Before.
We're gonna do it. We're gonna grow up and get grown up furniture. My plan to buy a new couch has morphed slightly into a little bit of remodeling and a lot of redecorating. I'm basically throwing out everything in my living room (or recycling it to other parts of my house) and starting over.
The demo started Thursday and we now have a new floor in the living room and hallway. They aren't quite done, but so far everything looks beautiful.
In the process of being taken down and because they were unfortunately run over by one of the cars, a few of our baseboards were damaged. We have been unable to find an exact match to what we have, so it looks like we might be getting new baseboards too. Ah the unexpected and inconvenient consequences of trying to change stuff.
Hardwood floors will be finished tomorrow and then they start tiling the kitchen this week. It's like moving, but a lot easier!
