Weekend Update
Friday
We hung out with Grandma Sharon and had waffles in her new waffle maker. Puts our sad, three legged waffle maker to shame. Shame.
Saturday
Cleaning our rooms is fun to do, fun to do, to do, to do. Sing it with me kids, you'll start feeling it, trust me. Never felt it? Ah shucks. At least your room is clean. :)
Goodbye Christmas tree. See you in 11 months. Hello clean living room. Oh, how I missed you so.
Lunch at Fuddruckers. Insanely fresh hamburger buns and no one cried when they didn't get to play video games. When does that happen?
Home show looking for a hardwood floor contractor. 2010 is going to be the year of the updated living space at our house. New floors, new living room furniture, maybe a new kitchen back splash. We're not moving, so we're updating. Nice compromise. But alas, no double oven. Sniffle.
Sunday
Church and family dinner with Grandma Sharon and Grandma and Grandpa Christensen. I made a lasagna, which even the children ate. Glory be.
After the girls went to bed we got to hear Grandpa C's presentation on the 2008 presidential election and other election trends, complete with graphs. Very, very interesting. We got into some interesting discussion of the influence of talking heads, special interest groups and the 24 hour media cycle. Oh and why Reagan consistently wiped the floor with his opponents, but couldn't get his popularity to trickle down to the House and Senate.
You know regular Sunday night stuff. Usually we play scrabble, but this was way more interesting.
