Oregon Trip: Day 7: Are we there yet?

After a family vacation, the parents should get to go on vacation, because Day 7 was a lot of poking. Mostly each other, but Brynn also decided to poke the mechanism inside her DVD player. Oh you know, the one that reads the discs! That DVD lasted almost 5 years and was showing no signs of giving up. No signs, that is until a tiny person decided to poke the insides. For no good reason. She didn't know. She's sorry. Can't we just buy another one?

We made it, stopping in Boise for lunch at a restaurant I would never normally eat at, but turned out to have to die for potato pancakes. I'm considering driving back to Boise, just to eat them.

But we made it home and guess what the first thing the children said when they put their feet back on home soil?

"Can we go to boondocks tomorrow? We never do anything fun!"
